HOLAH Christmas Drive

While we look forward to the end of each year to celebrate with our loved ones and exchange presents, let’s remember that some children don’t have the opportunity to do so. This Christmas, JAM wanted to be a part of something truly memorable by giving the gift of joy to children in need. JAM reached out to HOLAH (House of Love and Hope), a registered place of safety based in KZN that cares for babies, toddlers, and children with special needs, most of whom are in wheelchairs.

For over 10 years, HOLAH has cared for over 150 abandoned babies whilst working alongside child protection organisations, the South African Police Service, and hospitals. HOLAH is passionate about creating a loving and nurturing environment for the vulnerable children of South Africa. They provide them with everything they can to ensure their children reach their developmental milestones, are uplifted, and thrive. They are committed to ensuring that their children feel safe and secure and that all their needs are met.

Everyone knows that Christmas is a time when all children yearn for shiny gifts and packaged presents. To aid HOLAH this festive season with their mission, and to spread some Christmas spirit, JAM gifted Santa Shoe Boxes to each child residing at HOLAH. These were packed with wonderful clothing sponsored by JAM as well as toys and toiletries generously donated by JAM employees.

Donations of other items were also made to the HOP SHOP, a charity store run by HOLAH selling mostly second-hand items which help the organisation maintain its expenses.

JAM staff visited the organisation to personally give the Santa Shoe Boxes to each of the children. It was a heart-warming and touching experience to be able to create smiles of joy on each of their faces. Here’s to the festive season!
